If you had one final lecture to share with a group of students on what you have learned from this course, what would you share?

This semester I learned a lot the importance of investing in myself and planning with the end in mind. Many of the videos and articles I read emphasized the importance of dedicating my talents and efforts to overcome challenges and to execute my goals through strategic planning, persistence and dedication. I particularly enjoyed learning about the 7 habits of highly effective people. The habit of being proactive really resonated with me. Being proactive means taking charge with finding solutions to problems people were not aware existed. I also reflected heavily on what my attitude towards money is and how I can use the abundance of wealth in order to seek the Lord, keep His commandments, and prepare myself to become self-reliant. A lot of successful business owners did not sugarcoat their experiences as an entrepreneur. There will be many challenges and opposition, but that is why beginning with the end is so important. If I start with the goal in mind first, I can work my way backwards in order to discover the steps I need to take in order to achieve my vision.

What would be your last bit of advice to someone wanting to begin the entrepreneur journey?

There will be many sacrifices that will need to be made. But, as long as you are passionate about your goals, you will not stop until you achieve them. You will do everything in your capabilities to fulfill your goals and you will receive a lot of satisfaction when you do. Also, it is important to never forget about your loved ones. It will be difficult to balance work and personal life, but when you are home, dedicate your time and attention to your family.

What words of advice, direction, or caution would you give him or her if you had only one chance to give your own last lecture?

Think of an idea and take the initiative to bring it to fruition. Educate yourself as much as person. Find a good mentor who is as passionate as you are. Learn how to execute correctly your tasks and objectives. Learn to become a problem solver.
